Summary

This french canadian studio needed to integrate new services for consulting and research in ecology. We landed on a responsive, dual-translated site that also includes video production and selected imagery to create a seamless experience that attracted the government of Montreal, amongst other valuable clientele.

Reimagining your dining experience

While there are plenty of restaurant rating and take-away platforms available, many provide comprehensive information but fall short in user experience. Safe Eats aims to be more intuitive, user-friendly, and to make eating restaurant food transparent.

Zero mystery behind the food you're consuming

The initial design outcome for Safe Eats is clean, straightforward, and user-friendly. The design emphasizes visual elements, such as emoticons that symbolize preferences offered by each restaurant, eliminating the need for in-depth research. Additional features, like recent news and top rated, are personalized to each user's preferences.

Minimal but not simple

Safe Eats is packed with features that are all customized to your dietary needs: recommended restaurants, latest news, and restaurant profiles with letter grades—all wrapped in a minimal, clean interface.

Problem

Restaurants lack transparency when it comes to food safety and allergen control. Review platforms available today primarily focus on taste and ambiance, hence marginalizing health-related issues. Diners with dietary restrictions or allergies are left vulnerable and fearful. This gap translates into concrete consequences, which include incidents of food-borne illnesses and allergic reactions that can be deadly.
